Half year results		  

The first 6 months figures are showing a sizable slow down due to the overall economic situation within the retail market for the Swiss watch industry and the Consul watch has not been spared, which is not a surprise. It is anticipated that this trend is expected to continue through the end of the year.

Despite this fact, the R&D department keeps working hard to design and create new models (arriving soon) to satisfy the actual demand and be ready in a good position when the markets will turn around.

2008 Results		  

Year 2008 was quite a surprise as the last quarter was in complete contradiction with the first 9 months of the year as at the retail level, the impact of a financial turndown was felt overnight with a sizable drop.

 

However, the good results generated in the first part of the year allowed the overall figures to be comparable with 2007.

Consul of Switzerland is finalizing 4 new ladies collections to be launched on each season of 2008. These new collections will be combining diamonds, steel, rubber and leather.
